| Bio: | As a result of popular demand I have bowed to the march of progress and produced this LJ. I'm pretty certain that I'll be too lazy to actually add anything but that's standard behaviour. Rather than attempting to create some suitably obscure/erudite/striking user-name I just pulled an entry from a suitable obscure, erudite and striking dictionary. I am thus named after "A method of deceiving seamen, by fixing a candle and lanthorn round the neck of a horse, one of whose feet is tied up; this, at night, has the appearance of a ship's light. Ships bearing towards it, run on shore, and, being wrecked, are plundered by the inhabitants. This diabolical device, it is said, has been practised by the inhabitants of our western coasts." When not being seduced by ancient books or pretending to other folk that I have read them rather than just enjoying the aroma (as pedants will read this, I refer to the aroma of the books not the folk) I am employed in fulfilling the fantasies of american youth in a fashion less sordid than I hope you assumed. | |||||
